Calistoga Track & Field athletes turned in season-best results this past weekend at the CMC Track & Field Championships. 5 athlete qualified for the Championships and competed in the Varsity Division.
Alejandro Alfaro ran a season-best 5:34 in the 1600m. Just ahead of him was Gustavo Herrera finishing in 5:29. In the same event Daniel Montanez posted a season-best time of 4:57.23.
Gustavo also ran in the 800m along with team mate Bryan Avina.  Gustavo ran in a time of 2:27.26 and Bryan was close behind with 2:30.58 – both season bests.
Bryan Avina also ran in the 400m race and posted a great time of 60.86.
Daniel Montanez posted his best finish in the 3200m which he qualified to the North Coast Section Meet with a time of 11:06.90.  
Enrique Villasenor also qualified to the North Coast Section meet in the 110m High Hurdles with his season-best time of 20.46.  His 12.18 time in the 100m narrowly missed out on qualifying to the NCS meet. 
Daniel and Enrique will be competing this next weekend, 5/21 at Montgomery High School against all class A schools in the North Coast Section.
